How do I use Essential Oils?
Aromatically
That is through smell. When we as humans smell something we use 3000 to 6000 olfactory nerves in our nose. When a pet smells something, they use 300 000 to 600 000 olfactory nerves. That is why their sense of smell is way above humans and is the reason that when we offer self selection.
Topically
Topically means that it is absorbed through the skin. You can add an essential oil to fractionated coconut oil to increase the area of absorption and for sensitive areas such as eyes or the face. By adding the oils to a carrier oil, you are not diluting the oil at all you are merely spreading the oil.
Internally
There are many ways to get your pets to take the oils internally. You can put the oils into a veggie cap (which is a capsule that you can pull apart and add the oils there). Add the oils to their food. I found this to be the best way. Put the oils on a treat and give them the oils that way.
